RIVAL / METE / TP9 18+4 Extension Baseplate (Fiber Reinforced)
**You are looking at an extension baseplate that adds +4 to the Canik/Mec-Gar 18rd magazines for a total of 22 rounds. The correct magazine part number is MA548 or MA2240. Re-uses the same spring that is already in the magazine. This extension survived 65 empty mag drops onto concrete without failure, and can probably take more. Dropping onto concrete is still not recommended. Easy to install.**
**BLACK IS THE ONLY AVAILABLE COLOR, SPRAY PAINT TO MATCH YOUR GUN IF YOU WISH.**
Fits Canik Full Size Pistols such as the METE SFT, METE SFX, TP9SF, TP9DA, TP9SA, TP9SFX, Rival, Rival-S, etc.

**INCLUDES MAGAZINE BASEPLATE KIT ONLY, NO MAGAZINE OR FIREARM IS INCLUDED**
**NOT GUARANTEED TO WORK WITH AFTERMARKET MAGAZINES NOT MADE BY MEC-GAR, OR ANY AFTERMARKET BACKSTRAPS**
DESIGN:
1. Includes (2) #10-24 Stainless set screws to retain the baseplate on the magazine. You will need a 3/32" allen wrench to tighten these until they barely poke up behind the magazine.
2. Included #6-32 reinforcing screw to make the baseplate stronger. You will not need to adjust this.
SPECS:
Material: Glass Fiber Reinforced Nylon, 3D printed
Screws: Stainless Steel
Color: Black
INSTALLATION:
1. Remove the factory baseplate and the plastic piece attached the the bottom of the spring, these are not used.
2. Compress the spring inside the metal magazine tube and use a small 3/32" allen wrench through the ammo indicator holes to hole the spring fully inside the tube.
3. Slide the new extension onto the bent flanges of the magazine tube.
4. Using a 3/32" allen key, tighten the (2) set screws until they barely come up behind the magazine to keep it from sliding outward. Do not go too far or this may impede insertion into the pistol.
5. Remove the allen key from the ammo indicator holes, allowing the bottom of the spring to drop into the baseplate.
6. Test for function by loading and unloading 22 rounds (if mounted to an 18rd magazine).
NOTE on durability:
This is a new 3D printed product, and durability under a wide range of conditions is still pending. Some people baby their mags, and some people treat them like a hammer. I have gone through multiple design revisions to strengthen weak areas of the baseplate, and tested these products myself by dropping loaded and unloaded magazines out of the gun repeatedly onto standard outdoor surfaces from shoulder height, with no issue. Surfaces like gravel, hard dirt, grass, sticks, etc. should not cause a problem with durability, function, or cracking. If you throw this magazine onto concrete or abuse it, the plastic might break but I have not tried this yet. Bottom line is try not to abuse it on concrete or boulders. Normal use cases should be fine.
