HARD USE CANIK / WALTHER 18+4 BASEPLATE (Carbon Fiber Nylon with TPU BUMPER)
  • HARD USE CANIK / WALTHER 18+4 BASEPLATE (Carbon Fiber Nylon with TPU BUMPER)

Intended for 18 round magazines in Canik Full Size Pistols such as the METE SFT, METE SFX, TP9SF, TP9DA, TP9SA, TP9SFX, Rival, Rival-S, etc. Also fits and functions with Walther PDP Pro SD compact with factory 18rd magazines.

Heavily engineered and drop tested. If you need a baseplate that will stand up to many repetitive hard-surface drops, abuse, competition, etc., this is the baseplate for you! It has a soft and extremely durable TPU (similar to rubber) cushion dovetailed and screwed into the bottom of the baseplate that will absorb impacts of dropping your magazine(s) onto hard surfaces. The body of the baseplate is made out of the strongest class of 3D printing filaments, carbon fiber reinforced nylon. It adds +4, 9mm capacity to the Canik/Mec-Gar 18rd magazines for a total of 22 rounds. The correct magazine part number is MA548 or MA2240.  Re-uses the same spring that is already in the magazine. Easy to install.**

    DESIGN:

    1. Includes (2) #10-24 Stainless set screws to retain the baseplate on the magazine. You will need a 3/32" allen wrench to tighten these until they barely poke up behind the magazine.

    2. Includes screw to attach the impact absorbing TPU base.

    SPECS:

Material: Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon, 3D printed

Screws: Stainless and Alloy Steel (Grade 8+) Screws

    Color: Black

    INSTALLATION:

    1. Remove the factory baseplate and the plastic piece attached the the bottom of the spring, these are not used.

    2. Compress the spring inside the metal magazine tube and use a small 3/32" allen wrench through the ammo indicator holes to hole the spring fully inside the tube.

    3. Slide the new extension onto the bent flanges of the magazine tube.

    4. Using a 3/32" allen key, tighten the (2) set screws until they barely come up behind the magazine to keep it from sliding outward. Do not go too far or this may impede insertion into the pistol.

    5. Remove the allen key from the ammo indicator holes, allowing the bottom of the spring to drop into the baseplate.

    6. Slide the TPU dovetail into the bottom of the baseplate, then insert and lightly tighten the long screw to hold it on.

    7. Test for function by loading and unloading 22 rounds (if mounted to an 18rd magazine).
